He didn’t give us up because he didn’t love me.
He gave us up because he never learned that he could be better than his past...
He gave us up because he never truly believed that he was worthy...
He gave us up because he couldn’t convince himself that we wouldn’t turn into what his marriage became...
...that he wouldn’t wake up one day and want to just run away...from us... & from me.
He gave us up because he never understood what it was to win in love, he never saw love as triumphant.
No, he didn’t give us up because he didn’t love me.
He gave us up because he didn’t love himself enough to believe that he could be different.
That WE would be different.
Just my own thoughts...
Just sayin'...
(He'll say he didn't give us up at all... but he did. )
Listen to yourself, Jane. By your own words you say he gave up and that should be all you need to know to walk away.

ReplyDeleteI DO listen to myself. It has been a year+ of logic vs emotion. I'll let the world know when the battle has been won. For now, it continues to rage within me.
